The 4.5 rating it has is perfect. But I have to go with the 5, why? Because it literally made me feel like I was 16 again!! This spot is a throw back to when mom and pop shops were it, and I was served by a mom and pop!!
Oh, and the prices seem like they've been the same since the 80's, Amazing. I didn't know whether to get the Italian special (they're best seller) or the steak sandi? When he asked me small or large (and showed me the size with his hands, amazing) I looked up at the price and said well I'll get both, two smalls.
When the food arrived, did not look too impressive, but after the first bite, and every bite after, I was impressed over and over! The food HAS FLAVOR!!! This spot is a GEM!!! Go there be happy! -

Eh... 2-2.5 overall was trying to find that Italian cutlet, sharp provolone, long hot hoagie flavor. Had the cutlet plus the cheesesteak with shrooms... underwhelming- no variety of cheeses (just provolone), no wiz in the steak. Not enough steak. Chicken cutlet looked like big nuggets, peppers were stuffed in the cot
Bread was pretty good. -

Okay so I'm always excited to find little hole in the wall, mom and pops type of places. I'm pleasantly surprised about this place that I didn't even know was down the street, and has great quality food. When I went, I took advantage of their Number 2 Special which was a small cold cut sub (which isn't that small compared to the large) and a salad for $6.95. That's a really good deal, considering a large cold cut is $6.95 alone. My father got a large steak and onion sandwich, which was a little bit bigger than mine. He kept talking about the Monterey cheese which was on his sandwich, and how much he loves how much added flavor it gave it.
To compare this place to Subway is almost not fair. Subway is a corporation, Mick's is a family type joint. To compare Subway's subs to Mick's can be done, and let me tell you, Mick's takes the cake by far. The only thing Subway has on Mick's is customization, but in terms of size of sandwiches, Mick's is bigger by far, and their tuna is so much better than Subway! It's fresher and has an interesting kick that is hard to place, but really fricking good. I completely recommend Mick's to anyone who is looking for a good price for a great meal! -

Great little mom & pop sandwich shop with fast friendly service. Parking available in a small lot with very compact spaces. We ordered:
Meatball 8" hoagie- yummmy!
Pizza 8" sub- very good
Ham/cheese melt w.onion.tomatoes on sourdough= delish. I wanted seconds.
Roast beef 12" sub - good, just wish they added more meat.
Chips, and 3 drinks for $29....not bad! If you're in the area, stop by and give it a try. -

You know, the food isn't "bad" but you get what you pay for. They don't have much in the way of vegetables. Lettuce tomato and pickles. They charge you extra for just about everything they can. He even wanted to charge me $1.00 for adding bell peppers to my sandwich.
